Lakhovsky Georges Lakhovsky, Bioelectric Pioneer We live in an electrical universe and our bodies operate electrically. Unfortunately, many choose to ignore this concept because it is beyond the perception of their five senses. Living creatures consist of invisible electro-vibratory fields that not only form and develop what we recognize as our physical bodies, but also control the creation of new cells. These new cells replace those that are injured, worn out, or die from diseases or environmental poisoning. These electrical fields contain or have access to the complete information necessary to operate our physical body perfectly all the days of our lives. It has been estimated that the human body contains some 200 quintillion cells. Each cell is an electrically operated universe. When we consider the invisible matrix of interrelating fields that precede cell formation, it becomes obvious we are dealing with a mind-boggling information system. Soviet scientist, Dr. A.S. Presman, discovered cells were in constant communication with each other through coded energy patterns. He studied a broad range of effects of the electromagnetic spectrum on living systems. He found that electromagnetic radiation can affect the spatial orientation of animals, modulate the rhythm of their physiological processes, and effect vital living processes adversely. He concluded electromagnetic fields serve as conveyers of information from the environment to the organism, within the organism, and among organisms. His data showed an increase in the sensitivity to electromagnetic fields. The more complex the organism, the greater the sensitivity. Since man is the most complex, he is the most affected. Throughout the flow of human civilization, in Greece, China, Persia, Africa and India,a true healer treated man as an undivided whole, as spirit, mind and body. Theophrastus Paracelsus (1490-1541) theorized that planets, magnets, plants, etc. influence man by means of a subtle emanation that pervades all space. Hippocrates, "the Father of Modern Medicine", believed the environment also affected man's health. He was born on the island Cos where many miraculous cures occurred. The island was thought to possess special healing powers. He speculated there was a curative vibration inherent in the earth itself and the surrounding atmosphere. (Beasley, Victor, SUBTLE-BODY HEALING, page 9,10, C1979). New technology has emerged that allows scientists to monitor the energy of the body. EKG (electrocardiogram) devices monitor the electrical activity of the heart. EEG (electromyograph) machines show the flow of electricity along the nerves in the muscles. The SQUID (Super-Conductive Quantum Interference Device) measures magnetic fields produced by the flow of charged particles, called ions. Lie detectors meter the electrical activity of the body, brain, skin, respiratory, and muscle response to stress. Biofeedback devices monitor the brain waves to allow a person to consciously control their own brain waves, heart beat, respiration, temperature, blood supply, and digestive ability. Electro-acupuncture instruments measure the skin resistance over acupuncture points. Intelligent TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) instruments evaluate the flow of energy through the cells of the body. Radionics devices analyze the subtle energy fields of the body. The development of energy-sensitive monitoring devices will contribute to astounding new discoveries. Scientists and doctors will evaluate and treat the energy fields found in and around the body. Quantum leaps in new technology will provide ever more powerful tools to document and manipulate the different types of energies. Scientists and doctors Robert Becker, John Ott, Walter Russell, Hans Nieper, M.D., Edward Russell, Abram Ber, Albert Einstein, William Tiller, Nikola Tesla, Edgar Cayce, Edward Bach, Gabriel Cousins, M.D., David Tansley, Marcel Vogel, Semyon and Valentina Kirlian, John Fetzer, Wilhem Reich, Christopher Hills, and many others have realized that the universe works electrically. Their research proves all living creatures depend on the exchange of electrons in the biochemical reactions. In the "Phenomena of Life" Dr. Crile stated electrical energy played an important part in the organization, growth, and function of protoplasm. He believed radiation produces the electric current that operates the adaptive mechanisms of organisms. He hypothesized the current produces memory, reason, imagination, emotion, the special senses, secretions, muscular action, the response to infection, normal growth, and the growth of benign tumors and cancers. Everything that occurs in the body is governed by the electric charges that are generated in protoplasm. Dr. Crile held that all living cells operate electrically and function like a system of generators, inductance lines and insulators. Georges Lakhovsky concurred with Dr. Crile's theories. He stated, "the nucleus of a living cell may be compared to an electrical oscillating circuit. This nucleus consists of tubular filaments, chromosomes and mitochondria, made up of insulating material and filled with a conducting fluid containing all the mineral salts found in sea-water. These filaments are thus comparable to oscillating circuits endowed with capacity and self-inductance and therefore capable of oscillating according to a specific frequency." "The Secret of Life, page 7. Lakhovsky believed the fight between the living organism and microbes is fundamentally a "war of radiations." If the radiations of the microbes were stronger than those of the cells, the microbes win the battle, killing or taking over the control of the cell to produce more viruses or microbes. If the energy of the cells is higher than the microbes, the cell absorbs the microbe's energy and they die. Dr. Harold S. Burr and Dr. Leonard Ravitz at Yale University's School of Medicine published numerous reports describing the existence of a complex field of energy surrounding every living creature, including men, women and children. They called it the "L-field," or the "Field of Life," a refined form of energy that could be a kind of "higher octave" force existing beyond the familiar electromagnetic spectrum. They discovered these fields surround every cell and exist everywhere in the universe. They came to believe these fields exist prior to the formation of the living organism. These fields provide the framework upon which the cells migrate and transform into specific types of cells with very unique functions. In the April 1986 issue of "Discover Magazine," Gary Taubes discussed Dr. Nodenstrom"s work with the electrical system of the body. In his book, "Biologically Closed Electric Circuits: Clinical, Experimental, and Theoretical Evidence for an Additional Circulatory System," Dr. Nordenstrom claimed to have discovered an unknown universe of electrical activity in the human body---the equivalent of electric circuits. In his description of the body electric, he talks about the circuits that are switched on by an injury, infection, tumor, or the normal activity of the body's organs. Voltages build and fluctuate, electric currents course through arteries and veins and across capillary walls. White blood cells and metabolic compounds are drawn into and out of surrounding tissues. "This electrical system," says Nordenstrom, "works to balance the activity of internal organs and in the case of injuries, represents the very foundation of the healing process." The electrical currents of the body are as critical to the well-being of the human body as the flow of blood. Disturbances in this electrical network may be involved in the development of cancer and other diseases. Professor William Tiller, Chairman of the Department of Material Science at Stanford University believes each individual, organism, or material radiates and absorbs energy. This is accomplished by way of a unique wave field that exhibits certain geometrical, frequency, and radiation-type characteristics. This force field exists around all forms of matter whether animate or inanimate. He discovered the more complex the material, the more complex the wave form. Dr. Tiller proposed all living creatures, especially humans, emit a very complex wave spectrum. Parts of this energy are associated with the various organs and systems of the body. He lists seven principles operating in man, each of which controls a different type of substance that obeys a unique set of natural laws. He lists these as the physical, which most of us simply call the body; the etheric; the astral, or emotional body, followed by three separate intuitive, intellectual and spiritual minds; and finally pure spirit. A predominant aspect of the human-auric structure is the Chakra system, which means "revolving wheel" and deals with a series of wheel-like energy vortices along the spine in the surface of our different etheric bodies. These energy centers provide points of connection for energy to flow to and from each of man's unique energy bodies through an opening where energy is always in motion. The assumption is the Chakra systems are the channels through which we receive the Life Force that perpetuates life. Christopher Hills maintains that "an individual's intake and utilization of incoming solar and cosmic radiation is determined by the internal conditions of energy flow within one's own chakra system. According to Dr. John F. Thie, D.C. who authored "Touch for Health," meridians are channels through which Life Force flows in the body. He believes the meridians contain a free-flowing, colorless, non-cellular liquid that may be partly activated by the heart. In the Touch for Health system pioneered by Dr. Thie and Goodheart, the flow of energy through the meridians can be tested by evaluating the strength of specific muscles. Dr. John Diamond, in his book "The Body Doesn't Lie" shows how anyone can use any muscle or group of muscles to ask questions of the body. Anything can be asked. The yes or no answer depended on whether the muscle remains strong or weak. In 1960 Professor Kim Bong Han proved the meridian system existed by injecting radioactive phosphorus into rabbit acupuncture points. He followed the uptake of the substance into the surrounding tissue. He discovered the isotope was actively taken up along a fine duct-like tubule system (approximately 0.5-1.5 microns in diameter). The energy conduit followed the path of the classical acupuncture meridians. Concentrations of the isotope in tissue immediately adjacent to the meridians or near the acupoints injected were insignificant. More recent studies by French researcher Pierre de Vernejous and others have confirmed Kim's findings in humans. "Vibrational Medicine, Gerber, page 122-123)." MWO
